Chippenham's A team are the 2011 League Champions, ending the season at the top of Division 1 -  beating Marlborough 'A' by just one point.   Everything hinged on the final match between Marlborough and Tidworth - Marlborough needed to take all ten points from that match to overtake Chippenham.  In the end, winning the match 8 points to 2 was not enough and Marlborough finished up one point behind Chippenham's total of 50.

Chippenham's League Captain, Tuppence Hale, is delighted at the team's win.  She says, "It was such an exciting and close finish.  Not until the last match did we know that we had won - nerve-wracking, to say the least!  But we had a great team spirit and support throughout the year - it was great!"

Congratulations to Chippenham A and all the teams who came top of their Divisions.  Trophies for League winners will be presented after the WLCGA AGM on 9th November 2011.
