The County 2nd team had a convincing win over Somerset at Marlborough in their first match of the season.   The Wiltshire team was:

Jo Terry (Salisbury & South Wilts)
Katie Warren (Wrag Barn)
Sarah Watts (Tidworth)

Vice Captain, Jayne Long, who captains the County 2nd team, sums up the day:-

"We won two matches in the morning, with the third match score being only one down!  So, we went into the afternoon with a nice advantage.  The four matches we won in the afternoon were good, solid wins - newcomer Jo Terry won her match 6/4.  The two girls in the matches we lost played lovely golf and the matches could have gone either way.  Katie Warren missed a hole-in-one by a foot!   I said to all the players in my selection letter that I would love to Captain the winning team that day and they gave me my wish!

We had good weather - if a little blustery - the teams were friendly and the games were all played in good spirit.

I'm so excited!  I do hope this will give the girls a boost for Match Week at North Wilts."
