SUE TULLOH TAKES OVER AS COUNTY PRESIDENT Sue Tulloh began her three-year term of office as WLCGA President at the County AGM on 9th November. Sue is a member of Marlborough Golf Club and has a long association with the County, having been a strong member of the County team during the 1980's and County Captain in 1993 and 1994. She still plays competitive golf and, in September, she won the County Knock Out Foursomes with partner, Trish King. Sue says she is proud to accept the position of County President and is really looking forward to her new role. Sue accepted the badge of office from outgoing President, Phoebe Lumley, whose last year as President was unfortunately marred by a series of operations, on her back and both hips. Nevertheless, Phoebe is now on the mend and was pleased to be fit enough to chair the AGM. County Captain, Anne Martin, presented Phoebe with a bouquet of flowers as a thank you for her years of support and encouragement, making special mention of her hard work in collating the information for the Centenary Book published earlier this year. Everyone at the meeting joined together in wishing Phoebe a speedy return to full fitness and we all look forward to seeing her back on the golf course next year. |
