WILTSHIRE'S 2005 WINNERS

TIDWORTH beat Ogbourne Downs 3.5 to 1.5 at Salisbury & S Wilts on 16 October to win the County Scratch Knockout.
TIDWORTH won the league with 33.5 points. MARLBOROUGH were runners up with 31 points. HIGH POST, NORTH WILTS and THE WILTSHIRE will play in the second divisionin 2006.

WEST WILTS won the second division with 25.5 points. Runners-up were RUSHMORE with 25 points, beating Kingsdown on countback. Both West Wilts and Rushmore will be promoted to the first division for 2006.
... Tidworth's Hannah Turland was runner up in the Abraham Spoons at Henbury - the national competition for England's most improved juniors.
...The Coronation Medal winners are: Silver Division: Jo Gray, Tidworth
(-7) Runner-up was June Poffley, North Wilts (-5) on countback. Bronze Division: Jenny Alexander, North Wilts (-9). Runner-up was Lesley Cottis, High Post (-6).

 
2005 COUNTY CHAMPION...
..was 17-year-old Carly Boulton from Wrag Barn who beat Jo Hurley from Hamptworth in the final of the County Championships at Ogbourne to win the event for the first time. Losing semi-finalists were Ogbourne's Sue Sutton and Tidworth's Jayne Long.

2005 COUNTY GIRLS CHAMPION...
Carly Boulton achieved a remarkable treble when she beat Cumberwell's Claire Hobbs in a play-off at High Post to win the Wiltshire Girls Championships. She had already won her own Club Championships and the County Championships. FULL STORY
2005 SW GIRLS CHAMPION
Hannah Turland, 11, from Tidworth was the new Under 15 SW Girls Champions after shooting gross 79 & 80 at Dudsbury. Ellena Farrow, 12, wins Buchanan Trophy. FULL STORY
2005 SW CHAMPIONSHIP RUNNER-UP
West Wilts' Emma Brown almost swept the board in the SW Championships at Trevose in July. She won a clutch of trophies PLUS broke the course record and only just missed out on the Championship itself when she lost to Saunton's Emma Taylor in the final.
Kingsdown's Portia Abbott & Upavon's Bridget Cartwright qualified for the second flight.

2005 COUNTY FOURSOMES KNOCK-OUT CHAMPIONS
The Tidworth duo of Di Gritt and Sarah Waugh won the County Foursomes Knockout for the second year running. They beat Vanessa Evans and Jo Rogers from Broome Manor 3 & 2 in the final at North Wilts.

2005 CLUB CHAMPIONS

FIVE juniors won their ladies' club championships. They were (left to right) Emma Breen from Marlborough, Claire Hobbs from Cumberwell, Sophie Newman from Ogbourne Downs, Carly Boulton from Wrag Barn and Jojo Candy from Manor House.

2005 CRITCHLEY SALVER WINNERS
Wiltshire won Golf Foundation's Critchley Salver.
Project that introduced golf to 2700 children last year to be extended.
