JO SHORROCKS IS SOUTH WEST CHAMPION

Jo Shorrocks from Hamptworth is the 2007 South West Champion! Jo beat Gloucester's Sian James on the 18th hole at Burnham & Berrow on 19th July to take the trophy. The first Wiltshire winner in memory!

On her way to the final, Jo had knocked out England player, Jo Hodge, Devon's Julia Norman as well as Wiltshire's own Claire Hobbs.

Wiltshire had four qualifiers in the second flight: JoJo Candy (Manor House), Sophie Newman (Ogbourne Downs), Gemma Painter (Cumberwell Park) and Sarah Carvell (Ogbourne Downs)

DAY THREE SEMIS & FINALS

Finals day of the Championship dawned bright and still and the semi finals were played in perfect conditions as were the beginning of the final matches. A heavy prolonged shower marred the latter stages of these, nevertheless good golf continued.
